Sourdough Naan

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup sourdough discard
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Directions

  1. In a large bowl mix dry ingredients: flour, salt, baking powder

  2. Add in wet ingredients: sourdough discard, milk, oil

  3. Knead dough for 5 minutes, or until smooth

  4. Cover and let rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes

  5. Divide the dough into 3 pieces

  6. Roll out dough on a floured surface until the dough is roughly the size of a large piece of naan flatbread

  7. Brush each side of dough with a light layer of olive oil

  8. On a skillet or griddle, over medium-high heat, cook the dough for a few minutes on each side, or until lightly toasted and cooked through
