About Us

J&V is Different. Pure & Simple.

At the end of the day, J&V is just different, pure and simple—and we demonstrate it in all that we do. It’s found in way we deliver service to our clients and customers, and evident in the personality-infused, expertise-driven relationships we develop. It’s seen in our willingness to explore new markets and offer new services, as well as our decision to create a powerful experience for every chef and cook, whether professional or home-based, every time they walk through our doors.

Where it Started

J&V began not as a restaurant supply company or as a fire suppression company. In fact, we started as a refrigeration company. Founded by Jim and Vonda Laird in 1976, the company served the needs of many restaurants, many of whom expressed their need for a local, reliable restaurant supply company. A few phone calls later and the couple opened the side of our business that so many know us for today.

We are still a family-owned and operated company, and still offer refrigeration services on walk-in coolers but have evolved to become a leading local provider of both products and services ranging from space design to fire suppression. Every new line we pursue has to meet the same criteria: it has to be high quality, and it must serve the needs of our clients and the communities we serve.
